Note About Purely Derogatory Comments

Please note that while I have never and will never delete comments that express a viewpoint contrary to "The Lions' ", I will not hesitate to delete as spam any that are purely just derogatory and add nothing to the conversation! I usually get comments within a matter of minutes, and I'm sure the vast majority of the readers of this blog would agree with me that such comments should be deleted, judging by how few of them we get. SO FEEL FREE TO DISAGREE BUT KNOW THAT ANY COMMENTS THAT ARE NOTHING BUT PERSONAL INSULTS WILL BE DELETED PROMPTLY!!! Those that are bothered that "The Lion" is blogging don't have to read it! Thank all the rest of you,
Yours Truly, ED the IT guy

  4. These attacks not only add nothing to the convsation, they come from people that are cowardly attacking someone who's not in a position to respond and are a waste of the reader's time. This is not Bernie's radio show.

Thanks for taking care of this Ed.

  5. Bernie: what is Ray Taliferro currently doing? Has he moved to another radio show? Please tell him (or Ray, if you're reading this) to set up his own blog and/or podcasts? That would be really good. Thanks. He should get his own domain name...(www.raytaliaferro.com) would be obvious, or else (www.raytaliaferro.blogspot.com).

  6. I also agree 100 percent. I come here to read Bernie's considered thoughts, opinions and wisdoms, as wells as his readers', not inconsiderate mudslinging. So thanks, Ed.

  8. Fantastic commentary on the consequences of how Citadel and Cumulus can come into a community and destroy a local station that was once number one in the Bay Area for such a long time. I started listening to KGO in the early 60s in my Grandma's kitchen. I haven't stop since that moment until two weeks ago.

Jim Gabbert was interviewed by MZ on KSCO, and he said that even though he didn't agree with everything you said, he respected your view points, and said you were one of the few intelligent people at KGO that would "make people think" about important issues confronting them that could negatively impact their lives.

I thought you would like to hear his comments, and that you can listen to this particular podcast on 1080, which should be up later today or tomorrow. Bernie, you should know that you haven't been forgotten by some of your former colleagues and listeners. Cheers, Susan

  9. I miss Rothman and Burns the most. Always stimulating and unbiased, they gave me an interesting and educated view of the American experience. I'm Canadian but lived in the U.S. I hope you're well Bernie and in good spirits in spite of this nightmare for you and your family. I sometimes found you arrogant but always entertaining. This thing with Cumulus reminds me of an Orwellian theme of letting the same intellectual pablum churned out to sedate the masses.

    Feliz Navidad, Adrian

  11. I too will miss John Rothman, Pat THurston and Gene Burns. And just as you say...if I wanted news, I would change my channel to KCBS. There's PLENTY over there. Many of us miss you, Bernie. My entire family were devoted listeners and wish you were here. It will never be the same.
